Pet Carriers

When traveling with pets, you'll need to buy a pet carrier to contain them. Airlines and cruise lines are likely to demand that your pet be kept in a pet carrier, although if you are driving, you may not be concerned with this issue. However, even if you are driving, you should seriously consider keeping your pet in a pet carrier while you are driving. Having your dog or cat jump onto your lap while driving or crawl under the break pedal or lay down on the gas pedal could cause a serious wreck. The last thing you want to be dealing with while "making good time" on the interstate highway is dealing with an affectionate (or angry!) pet.

Before going on your next vacation, take some time to think about the positives and negatives of taking your pet with you. You may find that it is best to keep your pet in a kennel, or "pet hotel" while you are away. There are also many things to consider when looking for a quality pet sitting service, and you can read about those on our Pet Sitting Service page.
