Different Types of Birds for your Family

If you are choosing a bird as your first family pet, there a number of things that you need to be aware of when selecting a specific bird breed. One of the most important things you need to discuss with your family is the upkeep and care of the bird.

Birds are usually some of the easier pets to care for, making them ideal if you want to give your children some responsibility of a pet. There are a few different breeds of birds that you could consider getting if you are a first time bird owner.

• Cockatiels are fairly quiet birds and are great if you are looking to have some type of interaction with your bird on a daily basis.
• Canaries are one of the best birds for first time owners. Canaries are able to stay in small cage, but don’t like to be touched much. If you are looking for a bird to sing to you, this would be the one.
• Doves are one of the calmest and quietest birds out there. These make great first time birds because they are affectionate and yet don’t make a lot of noise.

Choosing the right bird for your family can be difficult, but you need to sit down with your family and decide on what type of bird you want to have. Choosing a specific type of breed of bird will help you when it comes to the buying process of the bird.
