Spaying and Neutering Your Pets is Important

In this day and age, there are many pets out there that are reproducing and making many babies that cannot be fed. Recently, many animal shelters have had to begin putting pets down because there is not enough room for all of them. In some cities, including Dallas, they have made a city ordinance that you are required to spay or neuter your pets.

Spaying or neutering your pets has become very important in today’s society. There are many pets that run away from their families or are left behind when a family moves. If these lost or abandoned pets mate with other animals, it may lead to many babies that will be forced to go to a shelter and will be put down because there isn’t enough room for all the incoming animals. Many cities are now trying to force people to get a pet from a shelter instead of buying from a breeder, because the shelters and the lost dogs are the ones that are in need of your help.

Another reason that you should spay or neuter your pet is that if your pets end up having babies, it leaves less homes for all the pets that are already lost in shelters and in need of a home.

Also, if your female pet doesn’t go into heat every month, you won’t have a mess to clean up when she does go through her monthly time. Spaying and neutering your pets can also prevent many health problems in the future, so your pet will continue to be healthy and happy for many years to come. When male dogs sense that a female is going into heat, they will begin to bark and call her continuously until she isn’t in heat anymore. This means there will be no more barking if you go ahead and spay and neuter your pets.
